Happy 26th Bdae to Leecher

1st March marks the day whereby I burnt a SUPER BIG hole in my pocket, cuz its Leecher's bdae.
Firstly, I decided to present him with a bouquet of flowers which I made myself, since he is always complaining that he never receive any flowers before. Being the practical me, of cuz I will not waste my money on a real bouquet of flowers on him - since I gathered that he will just throw the flowers away after they died - haha. So, as substitutes, I used Ferrero Rocher chocolates instead, heehee. (thanks Cheryl for the idea!)

Here's the ingredients for the "flowers"

Initially wanted to make 26 stalks of "flowers", but I think that it will be quite difficult to tie the wooden chopsticks together, so decided on 11 stalks instead - to represent 1 sheng 1 shi .... :)

The finished product - though there's still room for improvement, but it's a not bad result for my first attempt (trying to comfort myself here a bit ....)

Secondly, I decided to give Leecher his real bdae present (which seriously burnt a hole in my pocket, but what to do ...) by starting a car fund for him, cuz I know he is looking to buy a car ... Inside contains a cheque with $X amount of money to begin with ....

Thirdly, I got him a bdae cake. Initally wanted to buy either a Doraemon cake or a sports car cake for him, but the cakes were full of cream (sucks). Decided to go healthy and bought the mango cake, haha....

We headed to Chang Korean BBQ restaurant for his bdae dinner. Silly Leecher actually thought that I was going to bring him to Shangri-La for dinner. He kept lamenting that his bdae dinner will be very cheap, since I will be using vouchers to pay for the meal. Plus, he didn't even go and find out how to get to Shangri-La hotel (see, evidence of him leeching on me again), thus, it didn't strike him that we're going to Dempsey Road until we alighted at the bus stop.

Leecher seriously studying the menu and thinking: should I order the most expensive item on the menu?

Cam-whoring while waiting for the food to come ~ it's a pretty nice place and it was my first visit there ....

Sipping tea ... the tea is pretty not bad, had a slight taste of barley...

Finally, our table full of food, the side dishes only and its refillable at zero cost! Yummy ~

Leecher's mouth is watering ... he can't wait to start ....

Steam-pork belly which we couldn't finish and need to pack back.

Plate of Wagyu (Beef) : before it was cooked

After it's cooked and ready to eat ~ ATTACK!

Putting the meat onto the vegetables ...

That's the table full of food ... (some of the side dishes are not in the pic, due to space constraints)

Cam-whoring outside the restaurant. It's getting dark and the cars are arriving

After the meal, we decided to visit Ben&Jerry for some ice-cream ... Pretty nice place, but FULL of kids running around....gosh....

Ordered Rasberry + Strawberry Kiwi + New York Super Fudge Chunk topped with M&M chocolates

There's a little bus outside the shop where the kids are all gathered around, had a hard time taking the pics .... shouldn't have gone there on a wkend...

Since Leecher is still building his car fund, we had to take a bus to go back to the station ...

Back at his place for the cake-cutting ceremony :)

And lastly, Leecher with his Darling (ME!)

Happy Birthday to you! Hope you like all your presents!
