Post Wedding Trip - Bali P7

One of the days when you will feel sucky at work and nothing seemed to go right :( Can't seemed to see the light at the end of the tunnel & you can only pray that tomorrow will be a better day. Ganbatte, fighting! Looking back at the holiday trip pictures always bring a smile to my face, the perfect antidote to erase the unhappiness.

Our last day @ the Samara villa, before moving to the next leg.

Breakfast in the room for today for Leecher was hooked to their cable TV.

Abit 不舍得 to leave this place :(

A pic with the owners of the villa, Stefano & Yudi. They were the perfect hosts for our stay, ensuring that we were well taken care of.

We had to wait in the lounge area, for the staff had to clean up our room and get ready for the next occupants.

I was so used to balancing myself on the motorbike on the way downhill, that I can even take this picture while on the bike *proud*

The car waiting for us at the town center.

Cam-whoring while waiting for our luggage to arrive.

Tadah! Our big luggage arriving by bike :) Once we got our stuff, we set off to the last villa that I've booked for this trip.

Located at the outskirts of town - peaceful surrounding, away from civilisation.

Garden leading to the reception area.

Swimming pool & pavilion located in the compound.

Welcome drinks and snacks upon our arrival.

Served directly at the front porch of the villa.

Our surprise when we entered the room, haha! Kudos to them for spending so much effort in decorating the area. They even have water dispenser inside the bathroom for our drinking purpose.

Transportation is provided by the villa to Ubud town, hence, we hopped onto the car and arrived @ Lotus Cafe for our lunch.

Menu for ordering! We were totally famished & placed our orders in record timing.

We sat at the main section of the restuarant, on the regular tables and chairs. They do offer a range of seating possibilities - seating on bamboo mats, at low tables in the covered terrace or at a private pavilion overlooking the lotus pond and the Pura Saraswati.

Food, please come quick!

Ordered Lemon Tea, which arrived as tea + lime. So you will have to mix the two together, to get lime tea (a far cry from lemon tea, lol)

Leecher ordered maggi goreng, topped with an egg.

Ordered Ayam Sisit, which was shredded breast chicken, seasoned with Balinese spices, served with sayur lodeh (vegetables cooked in coconut milk) and steamed rice.

After a fulfilling lunch, we decided to walk around Ubud town. We came across Kou Cuisine, which offers a selection of hand-made jams in cute bottles. Great for buying back as souvenirs. All of the jams are freshly made, hence it would be best to consume within the stated time-frame. Leecher was enticed by the combination of pineapple & guava jam, and brought one back home for tasting. Free sampling is allowed in-store, and you're welcome to taste as many flavours before making the decision.

A little turn around the corner from Kou Cuisine, you will find the sister shop selling handmade soaps. Initially, I thought these little bars/wrappers were sweets till I read on the pamphlet that these are actually soap. They come in the forms of candy or bar, which make great souvenir gifts as well.

Time for another round of eating @ Ayu's Kitchen.

Ayu's Kitchen is more of an eatery with around 10+ tables

Mismatched hanging lights above each table.

Leecher with his can of coke to quell the heat.

As I wasn't hungry, we only ordered a bowl of spicy soup with glass noodles & chicken, together with a plate of french fries to share. Nothing fantastic to shout about.

Not satisfied from our meal @ Ayu's Kitchen, we walked further down the road and checked into Tropical restaurant for 2nd round of eating. Tropical Ubud is located along Monkey Forest Street, just a few meters from Ubud Market. The place crowded with tourists, who were chilling and relaxing over several bottles of wine/beer. We ordered chicken & seafood soup, a glass of lime martini and ended the night with haagen dazs ice cream :)
