Choupinette

Gosh, time literally flies for lil bro is coming back tomorrow! He's been away for almost 6 weeks, and I kinda missed him already, though we do speak on the phone whenever he has connection. Taking leave this week, so can pick him up at the naval base :) *wonders what presents he will buy for me, but I think better don't harbour too much hope, haha * Have consolidated quite a pile of pictures for the lil bro's NS journey, will share when I've sorted out the pictures. It felt like yesterday when I sent him into BMTC and now, he's about to have his commission parade in 3 months time from OCS.

On a separate note, had a dinner date with Leecher  a visit to Choupinette! Have long heard raves about their brunches, but Leecher reserved a table for dinner instead. Well, better than nothing!

All buckled up and ready to go :)

New clutch for our date today :)

Took a lil walk around the neighbourhood.

 Choupinette, finally!

We were the first to arrive and they were still in the midst of preparing the restaurant. Bakery corner with bread displayed in baskets, sooooo french-ish.

We were shown to our table, a cosy table at the corner of the restaurant.

Outdoor dining is also available.

Leecher deciding what he wanna eat/drink, when there wasn't much of a choice given that the menu was already prefixed for us.

3 course meal, just need to decide on choice of starters, mains and desserts. With 2 dishes to choose for each course, it was easy for us to take 1 each and share.

While we were left on our own to decide on the menu, they were busy preparing the restaurant for the other diners. Love the lil touches of flowers and candles on the table :)

Our own table setting.

Waiting for starters to be served!

Ready to tuck in!

Bread was served warm, much to our delight :) I prefer my bread with butter. House pour were 1-for-1 at $14 each.

Entrees consisted of Soup of the Day - Green Pea soup or Garden Salad. As much as I love Choupinette for their cosy and homely environment, I was extremely disappointed with their choices of entrees.

For mains, I had duck confit served with lentils and caramelized onions while Leecher had beef stew served with mash potato.

The waiters were ever so ready to help us take pictures :)

Desserts - chocolate mousse and creme brulee. Creme brulee was slightly disappointing, for it wasn't sweet (more for the health conscious).

Would love to come back again for their brunch items *Leecher, another task for you!*

Wore a simple white/black dress, paired with heels & envelope clutch. I realised that I've been bringing clutches out for our dates recently, haha!

 with the dearest! *muacks*
