KTV session with AF gang

{overdue, once again} Meet up with the AF gang a few months back for KTV, cheap lobang unearthed by Winston :)

Initially, I was conned by Yen into believing that it was a touch screen song-list. When Yunfa arrived, I pulled the same trick on him, wa ha ha :P

The KTV room is pretty big for the 6 of us & the song selection is super up-to-date.

Yunfa enthusiastically looking forward to the next KTV outing, which he intends to PK Winston & Yen out of the league.

Yen's title of PK King is being challenged. Looks like he has to undergo intensive training to retain his title.

The 4 of us can only sit back & relax while the 2 guys fought it out, haha. I was busy choosing oldies & the guys forbid me from touching the remote control after my songs selection (宝贝对不起, 笨小孩 and 对你爱不完) came out. My songs selection not nice meh?

4hrs of non-stop KTV-ing and it was time to call it a night. After that, we headed to Selegie for their famous beancurd.

As of Singapore's standards, long queue = good food, so look @ the queue at 12.30am!

The place was super packed but we managed to grab a table in the back alley.

Smooth & silky beancurd coupled with piping hot you-tiao = heavenly! I think I can eat this almost everyday :)

Bali Day 1

It's our long awaited holiday season again! This time complimentary tickets from Blamer to Bali on SQ woohoo!

The usual "chui" look at the airport.

That's our flight. Nearly couldn't make it due to a traffic jam on the expressway... Luckily Dad took an alternative route.

Safely on the plane, need to practice our zi bai skills again

Food Food, glorious Food! One of the best stuffs when you travel on SQ is their yummy meals. Blamer had their cheese omelette with hash browns.

While I had the chicken and rice. Note: it is chicken AND rice, not chicken rice. Sad, I heard chicken rice on SQ flight is supposed to be really fantastic. Maybe next time.

Finally touched down, and this is the place where we will be spending the first few days on our holiday.

Some stone craving on our way to the lodge.

This is a depiction of a holy war in their hindu religion. By the way, Bali's population is 90% hindism.

Our first glimpse of "safari".

Elephant ride. Wonder whether will we have a chance to ride on them.

Finally, we reached! Very tired me just slumped onto the couch.

Our welcome drink with cold towel. Feels just like in Batam.

Some clocks on the wall showing various international time. I guess most of their patrons come from these countries?

Taking a pic with their mascot. Wonder if this is a real animal stuffing?

Our friendly host leading the way to our tree house. Wa ha ha, will we be living life like Tarzan and Jane?

Wat will await us behind this door?

One lovely king size bed!

Cool Mounted TV. It's a Samsung.

Blamer trying to model their towels.

A small study table

Mini bar area with a mini fridge.

A basketful of carrots for feeding the animals in case they come close to our "tree house"

Complimentary fruit platter. I always wonder what is the brown fruit at the bottom left hand corner. Anybody have any idea?

Blamer in the mood to enjoy her long awaited holiday!

We head out for lunch at the resort's lion theme restaurant. Their domestic brew, Bintang. I heard it's a favourite among the Australians. I liked it pretty much too. Light, crisp taste.

We had the pre-arranged set lunch. First up, the appetiser. Smoked salmon with tofu salad.

My main is seafood kebab with squid ink linguine. I likedd the pasta but not the kebab. The tuna was over-cooked.

Blamer had the seafood mariana. Generous helping of seafood, but the taste wasn't that great.

Caramel pudding with vanilla ice-cream for dessert. I liked this although Blamer it was too sweet and she didn't fancy vanilla ice-cream either.

Lion at the back is called Coffee. My must have beverage after lunch.

We decide to do a recce of the premises so that we won't waste time navigating tomorrow.

Dared-devils jumping in the middle of the road!

Came around a small chili field. This is the first time I saw chilis still attached to the stalk.

Some night shots of the animals that came to the small pond for a drink of water. We tried to throw a few carrots at them but I doubt they can find them in the dark.

Can't believe it ~

After X no. of years of not paying for my movie tickets, I can't believe I wasted money on a movie that we stupidly allowed Leecher to coax us to watch ....

Gosh, I can't believe that I sat through that movie

AND I can't believe that Leecher had the cheek to doze off when he was supposed to accompany me through the night.

One month later & this is what i get, arg!

LOL :p
