The bad influence gang

We finally arranged for a meet up session after Kelly's wedding! Gosh, it took us 2 years to arrange for a 4 person dinner - talk about efficiency!

Walked over to Riverside Point for after-dinner-drinks.

Forced to take this picture, a ploy to get Allan into trouble with his GF - courtesy of Rongshan.

Stopped by Cafe Iguana for drinks, strongly recommended by Rongshan.

We waited at the bar, while they cleared up the table.

Drinks! As it was my 1st time at the place, I just ordered what Rongshan suggested.

Love these lights! Trying to find a similar one for our love nest :)

The reason why Rongshan strongly recommended this place - free flow of chips! Damn addictive, my hands couldn't stop themselves & we had countless refills of this.

Self-declared Dao Ming Si and Hua Ze Lei - this came about as the girls in our JC class were hooked on Meteor Garden and Rongshan decided to have our 01A5 version of Meteor Garden.

With dearest bad influence :)

Cheers for a successful meet up! Hope we don't have to wait another 2 years for the next dinner to happen :)

Catch up with Sister Fling

Meet up with Sister Fling over dinner, where I received my advanced bdae pressie :) *thanks Sister, Fling's Sister & Leecher!* Shuchuan was supposed to meet up with us as well, but he flew us kite. I shall pardon him, since he had to go for an interview.

Jack's Place @ Causeway Point.

Warm and toasted garlic bread. Wished they had refills for this!

Decided to abandon my usual order of sambal steak and went for asian butter steak - tenderloin topped with chilli coriander butter - instead. Can't beat Morton's, but decent enough on its own.

Fling's order of lamb chops & fish combo, served with thick black pepper sauce.

Had a great time catching up with her! We should do this more often - a good way of releasing stress :)

Engrossed!

Mess that I made when watching just one ep of drama ...

Instead of comforting me, Leecher simply said "Waste paper" >.<

Movie Dates 2009

Rem how Leecher always lament that I deprived him of catching movies in the theaters? Ever since our Gold Class Experience in Jan 2009, here are some of the movies that we caught last year. Penning this down, so he has no more excuses to say that he's being deprived!

Sunshine Cleaning

The movie that got Leecher hooked on Amy Adams. Got 4 X tickets, so I passed it to lil bro and gf to enjoy.

Shinjuku Incident

Had to change my complimentary pass into actual tickets.

The usual comfort food - hotdog & popcorn & coke.

The image of Daniel Wu's hand on the ground took me by surprise during the movie & I lost my appetite therefore. My low level of tolerance towards gruesome images.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past
*pictures courtesy of Xiaobin from mypapers :)

The one picture that gave us 1 day of fame when it was featured on mypaper last year.

Went for the movie cuz of Jennifer Garner - loved her since her Alias days. She's got great dress sense too!

X-Men Origins - Wolverine

Wolverine, my fave character in X-men series. Hot body, I like :)

Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen

2 pairs of tickets from Leecher! *surprise surprise* Supposed to meet up with Kaiwei and Yanni, but Kaiwei was overseas, so passed the ticket to Yanni's fren. Met Yanni for the 1st time and I felt like a hobbit over her tall frame! Bet Leecher shared the same sentiments as well!

Movie wise, Transformers 1 was way better! No doubt Megan Fox is now hotter than ever, but that failed to salvage the movie. Sometimes, it's just better to stop at 1.

Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince
G-Force

Didn't take pictures for these 2 movies. Half blood prince was the least of my fave book in Harry Potter's series, which explained my not-so-keen-feeling on the movie. However, I just had to watch it, to complete the series. The final 2 installments will be out this yr and next, can't wait!

Attended the movie night of Leecher's company to watch G-Force. We totally enjoyed the movie! Had a great time laughing out loud at the movie :)

District 9

Enough said about this movie (read here if interested). Still can't erase the prawn image till this very day. Hate breaking my ban and spending money on bad movie.

The Twilight Saga - New Moon

Leecher refused to get me tickets for the movie, even though it was my bdae! Fortunately, Edward to the rescue! Surprised me with movie vouchers, just in time for my bdae :)

Leecher doing what he is good at - LEECHING on my tickets to win a car for himself >.<

********

10 movies in year 2009 - Leecher has nothing to complain this time round!

KOI

For a period of time, a lot of my frens' status on FB were as follows:
  • "....20 mins queue for this (picture)"
  • "love KOI"
  • "Opps, I did it again (to queue for KOI)"
So, one fine day, while walking around AMK with Leecher, we came across KOI! The perfect chance to jump onto the bandwagon :)

720, when the number displayed was just 695 ... 25 people in front of us, sian!

The prized ticket which costs $3.50!

20 mins wait later

On Our Feet

This post will begin with a rare footage... ...

Yes don't blink your eyes. It's Blamer putting on her sports shoes.

A day of getting our lazy bones away from the couch and onto the courts for some badminton action.
A few shots of some of us in action.

SPECIAL FEATURE

Not bad that Blamer was actually pushing herself. Look at her go at the shuttlecock even though I had it covered.

We din get a grp photo with Gavin and Jac cos the super on couple went swimming next door.

But then again, at such a healthy place like the Sport Halls, why would Ronald appear here?

There went all our hard work.

Suddenly we had the crazy idea of having a impromptu steamboat cum grill session at HQ's place. Shopping at NTUC for ingredients. Can't believe that HQ actually has a grocery trolley bag.

Carnivore Blamer choosing her all important meat.

Think I was blocking the wife here.

The guys doing the dirty work of unpacking and sorting

While the girls got to do the fun part of marinating.

Ta Dah... I really hoped Blamer washed her hands.

The steamboat setup

The grill setup. Noticed we were using olive oil, the healthy alternative. Great to have such a big place. I wonder how will it be like when I get my place.

Our main cook Gavin. Practising before he embarks on his journey to London where he will be cooking most of his own meals.

After dinner, it's a game of mahjong and Blamer got the biggest win of the night! Plus it's a "hua-shang zi mo"

But what's a better way to end the night than with some old school Monopoly, though it would have been better if we were playing with real $$$
