Win & Van's Big Day - Briefing

Just landed in LDN and the weather was still bearable. Will be in LDN for a week of conference, meeting people from other offices and putting a face to those names that I've seen frequently on emails and over phone calls. The conference will start tomorrow and I'm kinda excited :) Oh yes, speaking of excitement, I've finally sorted out the pictures for Win & Van's big day, so here we embark on their wedding journey!

**************

After the fabulous stag night party, it was time to sit down and listen to the briefing for the actual day. Win wanted to meet us back @ NTU, so most of us drove across the country, heading back to NTU campus.

The early birds!

The cars beginning to arrive one by one

The bride & groom arrived :)

Group (leg) pic before we set off :)

The familiar sight - it had been quite a long time since we graduated.

Leecher thought he was some triad's 老大

The familiar slope that lead us to Canteen B

Canteen B went through a makeover and we couldn't recognise the place. I remembered the chairs used to be green, but it had changed to red. More stalls have appeared, like this fruit juice station.

Venturing to the new school where ex-hall 3 used to be.

School of Physics & Math.

While waiting for the guys to venture this new school.

Groom taking out his file, with duties allocation.

Step by step briefing.

All paying 100% attention to their roles and responsibilities for the actual day.

After briefing, headed to Boon Lay for nasi! Check out the long queue.

Who could resist a hearty meal of nasi and milo peng?

Stag Day

Coincidentally, Leecher had his stag day on the same day as my hen's night. Can't believe I'm blogging for his behalf cuz he's still very much in retirement (and not doing anything else apart from expanding his waist line, haha!). Anyway, the guys met up bright and early for a day trip to Batam :)

The guys went for 2 rounds of go-kart - 10 mins drive from Harris Batam. The tracks were so muddy that Leecher came back with his soiled T-shirt and I had difficulties getting rid of the stains.

Leecher told me the horror story of cabbies in Batam. The guys walked back to Harris, hoping to spot a cab - this particular driver wanted to charge each pax $25 for a ride from the go-kart to this dim-sum place (which they found out later was just a 10-mins ride from go-kart centre). Gosh, that's daylight robbery - that's $125 in cab fare. Can take you around Singapore island to-and-back 4 times lo. The guys didn't give in and walked further away and managed to grab a cab that charges $3 per pax. Wow, I didn't know that they charge by pax now!

The pro-family-gang who celebrated his stag day! I have no worries leaving Leecher in their hands, heehee!

Project Thursday - Confessions of a Shopaholic

One of my fave blogger has this project 365, where she take pictures of anything interesting that comes along her way. She has a special eye for details and great photography skills. While I'm contented with dent dent, I've begin exploring photography using my trusty iphone 4S, haha! With all the photography apps available, I've decided to come up with my own version of project 365 - which is Project Thursday, since Thursday is now the new Friday :)

Something close to the heart for the debut post! haha, Leecher will definitely agree, looking at the stuff that arrived at my mum's place whenever we head over for dinner, haha! Time to freeze the credit cards in a gigantic ice cube :p

Edit: Project Thursday is now known as PicPrints (from 1st June 2012 onwards)

Drinks with Bros & Sis

The 2nd round of celebration with Bros & Sis - met up with them to pass them the wedding invites @ CMPB. The usual late-comers 难得 arrive on time!

Cuz I nv expected them to be on time, I ended up late, haha!

Then, adjourned to BEDS for KTV & drinks. The guys always like to sing sad songs and then feel sad for themselves.

Amos the cheeky one!

ZZG's turn with the mike.

Qian came after a wedding dinner & Ryan tried to coax her into drinking.

The guys taking turns to drink and hugging each other, haha! We took lots of videos & pictures, Ryan was still sober enough and prevented us from loading onto Facebook. Some of the pictures turned out too dark, and Qian managed to brighten them a bit using her photoshop skills.

Cheers!

Great night out with the gang!

Hen's Night with Sisters

Time flies - Jan & Feb came and went, now we are at the last month of the 1st quarter. Flying off the LDN this Sunday and for once, I'm missing my luggage after it was kept captive for almost 3 months. I just hope the weather is good in LDN, can't wait for our trip to Cambridge, heehee! Back to more wedding posts - the GF joked that it will be a good 6 - 9 months before she sees pic on our wedding day, haha! OK, I'm fast approaching the 6 month timeline, but hey, I still have another 3 more months to hit 9 months, lol! Will keep churning out the entries, as they have a special place in our memories.

The lovely sisters prepared my Hen's night party. I wasn't keen to party, so it was a quiet affair over wine & food :)

They got me a gift and made me pose with it in public~ super paiseh!

Then we adjourned to Italiannies for a nice dinner.

Thanks to my lovely sisters for this dinner & helping out during the wedding! Though you girls didn't plan it, yes, I still puked in the end!

A day trip to Jakarta

I've done day trips to KL, given that the traveling time is so short. This time round, I've to ventured further - a day trip to Jakarta with the boss.

Started the day at 7am. The cons of day trip is that your day actually starts way earlier and ends later than a normal working day. Leecher dislikes day trips, cuz that meant that I won't have time to get pressies for him, haha!

Took these pics when I woke up from my nap on-board the flight. I kinda like taking pictures of the clouds as they changed shapes all the time.

The long queue to getting a visa for the boss. Whenever I go on trips, I'm thankful for holding a SG passport, where you don't require visas to enter most of the countries.

Had lunch @ a local food court to try out their local dishes :)

Back to the airport for our flight back - the flight was delayed for almost an hour and it was close to 12 midnight when I reached home, with Leecher waiting for me :)
