Swirl Photoshoot

Been wearing quite a lot of reds and white recently, maybe cuz it's the national day week. I like national day, even more so when I can have a long weekend. Every year, I'll look forward to hearing the NDP theme song, but nothing can beat the all time favourite theme song - Home, by Kit Chan way back in 1998.

National Day Eve 2012 has another significance for me, as we will be launching our debut collection!

That's the reason why I was kept busy for the past few months - sourcing for suppliers, arranging for photoshoots, putting the pieces together. We were rushing to meet the target deadline for the official launch. Looking back, it was sheer hard work and I'm glad to be in this together with the partners, who have been nothing but amazing! mega hugs, kisses and love!

We ventured outdoors for our 1st photoshoot, look at the amount of stuff that we brought along!

The walls were decorated with inspiration quotes, to inspire the next generation.

Don't think he knows how to appreciate it, much less be inspired by it.

Nice spiral staircase in the building. Wanted this as our back drop, but decided against it.

Ferried our stuff over to the photoshoot area once our models are ready.

The place for photoshoot!

The stuff that we brought along seemed to have increased, haha!

Making sure the models are picture ready! If not, will kena scolded by the photographers :(

Leecher & ShuChuan doubled up as our photographers for the day. Kudos to them for enduring the sun, trying to capture all the pictures.

We were thankful to be standing in the shade - the sun was too fiery and we all went home one shade darker!

Taking a break when I'm not being called, haha! Those who were not modelling are the ba-ga-liao queens.

Standing by with the accessories required for each outfit.

Kena called up to pull the leaves & twigs away, while photographers take their pictures of the model. Leecher must have taken this pic of me being bossed by them as a memento!

Work VS Play! haha, caught on camera :p

After 4 hours of pic taking, we were all glad to wrap things up! Mega thanks to everyone present that day :)

Before I forget, rem to shop at SWIRL! Debut launch on 8th Aug 2012, Wednesday @ 12 noon :)

Bdae Celebration as Mrs Lim Kesheng

A quick post before starting off my day in KL. Arrived yesterday morning for a 2D trip and now I'm about to pack my bags for morning checkout in a few hours time. Been a long time since I stayed over in KL, for I was mostly doing day trips for this country. Still on clearing all my backlogs & sorting out bits and pieces of what I wanna document here - happy memories, of course! Celebrated my first bdae as Mrs Lim Kesheng last year, and also, our 6th yr anniversary :)

Leecher picked me up after work and off we went for a nice birthday/anniversary dinner.

Happy girl! Not much surprise on where we are going, cuz I picked the place out of the list of places that Leecher provided, haha.

Guess the location?

Au Petit Salut for the bdae meal :)

The lovely bouquet that Leecher got for me :) Lilies have a special meaning in our r/s, for that was the 1st bouquet of flowers that he gave me when we were still dating. So, now that I'm celebrating my 1st bdae as Mrs Lim Kesheng, he gave a bigger bouquet of lilies ♥

Flower boy, hahaha!

It was getting dark, so we headed into the restaurant for dinner.

The main dining area on the ground floor offers a seating capacity of 100, both indoor and alfresco. The 2nd level is dedicated to 2 private dining rooms with seating capacity of 40 each. We went for indoor seating and was delighted that Leecher actually called to make reservations! Yah, I'm amused at the lil things that Leecher does, for he is like a big baby and can only store 256MB worth of data in his brains :p Whenever he tends to do something out of the blue, I'll be counting my lucky stars and be tickled by the fact that he actually remembered, haha!

(mini) bdae card :)

Different kinds of bread roll to kick start the meal.

I went light on bread, for I was saving the stomach for other courses, haha!

Erm, I've to confess that I don't really remember what was this dish called! APS seemed to have revamped their menu from my last visit :( If I recalled correctly, this was smoked salmon served with mixture of rice & barley.

Pan seared duck foie gras, apricots & rosemary for me :)

A trip to a French restaurant is not completed till you've ordered escargots :) Half dozen baked Burgundy snails with tomato and garlic butter - finger licking good! They were served hot, so be careful when eating these. Dip the bread in tomato & garlic butter sauce, yums!

For mains, Leecher went for their recommended Confit Duck Leg, white chocolate & cauliflower puree, with fresh pomegranate relish.

Ordered beef for my main course - Pan seared beef tenderloin, pasta gratin with cheese, shallots confit and red wine sauce.

Sometimes, happiness is all about eating your fave food with your loved one by your side :)

Birthday cake :)

Make a wish ~ make a wish ~

More desserts, for we ordered 4-course set dinner. I think we had sticky date cake with vanilla bean ice cream & selection of matured French farm cheeses served with walnut bread. This didn't go well with me, as the cheese were too strong for my liking.

I was so full after this meal that my lil tummy was bulging out from my dress, haha!

Thank you dearie for the wonderful meal :) *muacks*
